About Meadow and Moor Farm to Fork

Farming the way nature intended

A regenerative beef farm across Surrey Hills and Sussex Weald — raising cattle on diverse natural pasture, slowly, honestly, and with care for the land.

Regenerative farming isn't a trend — it's how farming should always have been

At Meadow and Moor Farm to Fork, regenerative beef farming is at the heart of everything we do. Our cattle are raised outdoors on diverse, natural pastures across Surrey Hills and Sussex Weald — moving with the land rather than being confined or intensively fed.

Through thoughtful, low-impact rotational grazing, our beef cattle help build soil health, encourage plant diversity, and return nutrients naturally back into the ground. This grazing pattern mimics how wild herds once moved across the Surrey Hills and Sussex Weald landscape — stimulating plant growth, deepening root systems, and feeding soil biology through natural manure.

Healthier soils hold more carbon, retain water better, and support stronger ecosystems — from insects and birds to grasses and wild plants. The result is resilient grassland, thriving wildlife, and cattle that live outdoors on a natural, diverse diet across our Surrey Hills and Sussex Weald farmland.

Regenerative farming isn't about producing more at any cost — it's about producing better beef, while restoring the land for future generations.

Welfare is not a marketing claim — it's how we farm at Meadow and Moor

Outdoors

Our beef cattle are kept outdoors on pasture for most of their lives across our Surrey Hills and Sussex Weald farmland, grazing fresh grass and diverse forage as they are naturally designed to do.

No Routine Antibiotics

We avoid the preventative use of antibiotics. Animals are treated when necessary for their welfare, but we do not use antibiotics routinely as a production tool.

Natural, Diverse Diet

Our Surrey Hills and Sussex Weald pastures contain a diverse mix of grasses, herbs, and legumes. Cattle eat what they are designed to eat.

Low-Stress Management

We manage our beef cattle with care and patience. Low-stress handling, space to move freely, and a natural herd environment are central to our approach at Meadow and Moor.

Natural Practices

We farm in a natural way — avoiding artificial fertilisers, pesticides, and preventative medications across our Surrey Hills and Sussex Weald farm.

Local Abattoirs

We use local abattoirs wherever possible to reduce food miles and support local business. Short, calm journeys are part of our commitment to welfare right to the very end.
